I’LL start with an admission. This outfit is clearly too big for Santi but I’ve already waited weeks for him to wear it and couldn’t wait any longer.
It’s an amazingly lovely romper from Dudes n Dolls, a UK based company set up by a mother who struggled to find baby clothes she liked.
As soon as I spotted this romper on Instagram I had to order it, and I was really impressed when it arrived. I love the grid pattern, all-in-ones are really comfortable and easy to wear, and it can be styled with a safe plain top or bright patterns underneath.
The only thing I would say is to order up a size as this is 18-24 months and even though it’s quite baggy, I think the size down might have been a bit short. We went with a plain top underneath today, mainly because Santi was already in a long sleeved white vest and not really in the mood for outfit changes.
To brighten it up, he’s wearing his red trainers from Mothercare. I’ve discovered laces are a lot more faff than Velcro, but at least with a double bow he can’t take them off in the car! What do you think? Would you play it safe or jazz the outfit up with some clashing patterns?
