What Santi Wore: Dudes n Dolls romper

I’LL start with an admission. This outfit is clearly too big for Santi but I’ve already waited weeks for him to wear it and couldn’t wait any longer.

It’s an amazingly lovely romper from Dudes n Dolls, a UK based company set up by a mother who struggled to find baby clothes she liked.

As soon as I spotted this romper on Instagram I had to order it, and I was really impressed when it arrived. I love the grid pattern, all-in-ones are really comfortable and easy to wear, and it can be styled with a safe plain top or bright patterns underneath.

The only thing I would say is to order up a size as this is 18-24 months and even though it’s quite baggy, I think the size down might have been a bit short.    We went with a plain top underneath today, mainly because Santi was already in a long sleeved white vest and not really in the mood for outfit changes.

To brighten it up, he’s wearing his red trainers from Mothercare. I’ve discovered laces are a lot more faff than Velcro, but at least with a double bow he can’t take them off in the car!   What do you think? Would you play it safe or jazz the outfit up with some clashing patterns?

  1. Wowee! I love this romper so much. I am a fan of the dudes and dolls Instagram page. You are tempting me to purchase something! I would probably play it safe with plain underneath but perhaps with some brighter colours x #weekendministyle

  2. I love this outfit, the red trainers look fab against the black.
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who has absolutely no patience and dresses their child in clothes that are too big, I also tend to dress Aria in clothes that are too small that I don’t want to part with!
I imagine this would look fab with another print but I would be too scared to experiment and end up playing it safe.

    • Thank you – the red was as adventurous as it got this time!
It’s so hard when you buy something and have to wait for it to fit. I do the same with small clothes … There have been a few squeezes recently when I got a bit sad that Sant was outgrowing some of my favourites!
      Thanks for hosting x

  3. Oh my! I am grid OBSESSED at the moment (have just ordered myself a grid bedding set) so this is just perfection! I do the same. I order things and can’t wait to get Isla in them, regardless of the size. How fab does he look in this? Proper rocking it! Thanks so much for linking up and apologies for the delayed post holiday response! #weekendministyle
