What I wore: A silver and black wedding outfit

SO far my fashion posts have been limited to what Santi, and now Ezra, wear as I don’t generally get the chance to dress in anything more exciting than jeans and t-shirts.

When I do get the chance to wear something different I love it, so I thought I’d share one of my recent outfits for a change.

On Saturday we went to our friends’ wedding, and as it was our first nice occasion we’ve had since Ezra was born I decided to treat myself to a new outfit. I was looking for a skirt and top as something a bit different, but when I saw this dress I fell in love with it!

It’s from the Ted Baker outlet store at McArthur Glen in Bridgend, and is so pretty! It was a bit more than I’d planned on spending (even at a heftily discounted outlet price) but we have a few weddings next year so really it’s an investment!

I had dark grey shoes that went well with it, but as it was a summer wedding I bought a new pair that were a bit more season appropriate. These are Miss KG from Kurt Geiger, and were down to £29 in the sale. They seem to be £19.50 on Amazon at the moment, so if you fancy a bargain click on the link.

I stuck with slivery grey accessories to match the pattern in the dress, and the front of these shoes, which have a subtle snakeskin pattern, went perfectly. The chunky heel meant they were really comfortable too … Even after a lot of dancing!

I took a bag from New Look that I’ve had for a few years, which is nice and glitzy for a wedding, and big enough to stash my make-up for topping up through the day. I bought Barry M gelly nail varnish in almond, which despite its name is a lovely grey colour and sets with a nice shine. Finally, I had a few spritzes of Jo Malone red roses perfume, which is my absolute favourite and reminds me of our own wedding day.

It was so nice getting dressed up for the day and I can’t wait for the next chance to wear my lovely dress!
