I’ve remembered to link up with week two of Living Arrows … yay! In case you missed last week’s post, the aim is to share a couple of photos from the past week that capture a moment of childhood.
I did intend to have some sort of theme to these posts, and planned to share a photo each of the boys taken on the same day. Well the best laid plans go to waste, and that didn’t make it past week one. The only connection I can make between this week’s photos is that they were all taken at home.
For the past couple of months Santi has had a thing about not sleeping in his bed. He just refuses to, and has been sleeping on the floor instead. He must be comfortable down there or he’d go back to his bed, but it is a bit sad walking past his room and seeing him curled up on the carpet. After Christmas we decided to move his teepee out of the playroom to make a bit of space, and asked if he’d like to sleep in there instead. We’ve moved his mattress in there and it’s now his new bed! It does look super cosy and he loves it.
I lie in there with him for his bedtime story and it’s so comfy and warm that I’ve fallen asleep most nights! I’m not sure what we’re going to do with his bed though … it’s just sitting there with no mattress on.
For Ezra I’ve chosen two photos that just show how much he’s changed recently. There’s something about seeing in his high chair that makes him look older than his seven months. He’s really content to sit there while we eat, pinching bits of our food to nibble on, and enjoys nosing around the room.
Weaning is a bit up and down at the moment. Some days he’ll eat loads, but other times he’ll refuse a pouch (we’ve been relying on a lot of ready made food while the kitchen is being done). He’s a big fan of cucumber and broccoli, and has very stubborn moments where he refuses the spoon. I think we’ll end up going down the baby-led weaning route, which we haven’t tried before.
