Easter egg hunt around Llanelli town centre
Every day until Saturday, April 27 – starts at Llanelli Library
Follow the Easter egg hunt around the town centre for a chance to win an Easter bundle. The trail starts at Llanelli Library. Every child who enters will win a Creme Egg.
Parc y Bocs Farm Shop Easter egg hunt
Friday, April 19, 12-2, Parc y Bocs, Kidwelly
The PYB Easter Egg Hunt returns on Good Friday, on a first come, first served basis. £3 per person.
Easter hunt at Pembrey Country Park
Friday, April 19 to Monday, April 22 from 10am – 4pm at Pembrey Country Park
Take part in an Easter hunt over the bank holiday weekend. Pick up your clue sheet from the Visitor Centre and off you go. Work out the clues … and if you manage to solve them all to find the hidden word, you will win a prize. £3 per child.
Family friendly tour and egg hunt at Stradey Castle
Sunday, April 21, 2.30pm, Stradey Castle
The first tour of the year falls on Easter Sunday, so organisers have turned it into a family friendly event. There will be an Easter egg hunt in the woods near the lake where the bluebells will be coming out, and the tour will end with home-made refreshments in the dining room. Prices, more information and booking (essential) via the Stradey Castle website.
Cadbury egg hunt at Dinefwr
Friday, April 19 to Sunday, April 21, 10am – 3pm, Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo
Follow the nature themed trail around the grounds, and crack the clues to claim a chocolatey prize. The trail costs £3 per child. Storytelling will also take place in Newton House at 2:30pm every day of the Easter weekend.
Easter Bunny holiday trains at Gwili Railway
Friday, April 19 – Monday, April 22, 11am, 1pm and 3pm departures
The Easter Bunny is returning to Gwili Railway with special treats for children. Little ones can meet him and have their photos taken, before enjoying a magic show. Adults £14, children £8, senior £12, family £35, dogs £2.
Easter events at Parc Howard
Monday, April 22, 2pm-4pm, Parc Howard, Llanelli
An Easter fun day will take place at Parc Howard, Llanelli, from 2pm. There will be an egg hunt, with a chocolate egg for all entrants (£1 entry), and an Easter bonnet parade, with judging at 3pm.
Easter family fun day at Mynydd Mawr Railway
Saturday, April 27, 10.30am – 4pm
Head to the railway for a day of clue finding, train rides and chocolate eggs! All tickets will include unlimited train rides and a place on the Easter Egg Trail. Train rides every 20 minutes on the Sentinel diesel locomotive and wooden brakevan. All day rover tickets cost £5, family tickets are £12 (two adults, two children) and include an egg for each child, infants go free with the option to buy an egg for £2. All tickets allow unlimited rides at any time during the day.
Easter explorer at Aberglasney Gardens

Crack the code to find 15 letters which spell a secret message. Get it right and win an Easter egg! Entry free for children.
Picnic with the Easter Bunny at Play Cwtch Chwarae
Sunday, April 21, 3pm – 6pm, Play Cwtch Chwarae, Capel Hendre
Enjoy a picnic with the Easter Bunny, with all proceeds going to Noah’s Ark children’s hospice. Entry is £8 per child and includes a picnic box, use of the play area, an Easter egg, games, cookie decorating, and a prize for the best Easter bonnet.
Dinosaur day in Llanelli town centre
Wednesday, April 17, 10.15am – 3pm
Meet the dinosaurs in Llanelli town centre! Trixie the triceratops, Bradley the Brachiosaurus, Al the Allosaurus, T-Rex, Spinosaurus and Utahraptor will be in town from 12pm – 3pm, where there will also be a live egg hatch, fossil displays and magic with Captain Percival Knott. Additional activities around town include:
10:15am – 12pm: Dinosaur story time and crafts at Llanelli Library
11am-12pm: Win a prize with Captain Percival Knott with his bag of wonders and dinosaur quiz at Llanelli Market

Hwyl in the Garden, at National Botanic Garden of Wales
Wednesday, April 17, 10am – 4pm
A fun-filled event for all the family is back again at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Pay the standard admission charge for the Garden, and get access to a day full of activities celebrating all things Welsh. Some of the activities include:
Children’s Welsh clog dancing workshops, ukulele workshops, Rugby Tots and Scarlets rugby sessions (including a chance to meet team mascot Cochyn), meet the giant dragon puppet from the Small World Theatre, family storytelling walks, toddler stories and songs, virtual reality experiences, and pottery
Animal magic at National Botanic Garden of Wales
Sunday, April 13 – Sunday, April 28, 11am
It’s animal magic this Easter at the National Botanic Garden of Wales where you can get up close and personal with Farmer Huw’s younger livestock – lambs and chicks. There’s fun and games and lots of arts and crafts action to suit all ages.
There will also be a Tropical Inc show – the meerkats will return, along with a selection of snakes, tarantulas, a porcupine, skunk, parrot and much more. Shows will take place on April 24 and 25 at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm in the Garden’s marquee. With two flying displays every day that take place at 11.30am and 2.30pm and a daily owl show at 1pm you can enjoy the wonderful British Bird of Prey Centre!
You can also be amazed and dazzled by Folly Farm’s favourite illusionist and conjurer – the magical Luke Jugglestruck on April 20 and 21.
There’s an extra £3 charge for the meerkat shows. For £5 you can enjoy the meerkat show and entry to the British Bird of Prey Centre for their daily flying displays.
Giant duck hunt at WWT Llanelli
Daily until April 29. Activities are free after entry.
Go quackers this Easter and challenge your family to explore the wetlands and find the giant yellow ducks. Follow our special activity cards to find where the ducks are hiding and win a tasty prize. As well as the trail, there will be other fun wetland-related activities for families to enjoy over the Easter holidays:

A family pantomime based on one of the world’s best loved nursery rhymes which has been created just in time to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Pam Adams’ best selling book. From the creators of Don’t Dribble On The Dragon, this magical show has been written especially for grown ups to enjoy with their children, complete with the traditional feast of sing along songs, colourful animal characters and heart warming family fun.

Annie, by SA15 Stage School, at Ffwrnes theatre Llanelli
April 24 – 27 at 7.30pm, with 2.30pm performances on April 26 and 27. £12.
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan.
Wonderland at the Gower Heritage Centre
Every day until Sunday, April 28
It’s Easter everyday at The Gower Heritage centre, and visitors will be whisked off to Wonderland! Meet the White Rabbit, Alice and the Mad Hatter, and join in with the fun and games on a mad-capped interactive tea party story adventure! Wear your Easter bonnets, mad hats, or wonderful wonderland costumes for the fancy dress competition. There will be bunny races, egg and spoon chases and a treasure hunt for tasty treats, as well as Easter quizzes, crafts, puppet shows, duck races and a chance to meet the animals. Standard entry fee applies.
Easter Bunny hunt and crafts at Oystermouth Castle
Friday, April 21, 11am-4.30pm
Pop along to the Castle on Easter Sunday for an Easter Bunny word search hunt, followed by Easter crafts. Easter Bunny Hunt 11am-12pm – or until the prizes run out! Crafty fun between 12pm and 4.30pm. Normal admission charges apply.
Jurassic dinosaurs in the park, Margam Park
Monday, April 22, 10am-5pm
Tiny, the huge Triceratops and Dexter, the cheeky, feathered T-Rex will be at the park to help Dr Fossil, along with some of the mischievous dino babies! Help Emily Brontosaurus find the lost egg, meet Spence the Spinosaurus and Richie the Raptor, and see the giant dinosaur egg — climb inside and feel what it is like to hatch out!

The Wonderful World of Disney on Ice, Cardiff Motorpoint Arena

Join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on an inspiring walk down memory lane in celebration of magic and family fun. Dory is back with friends Nemo and Marlin from Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory. Travel to Arendelle with Anna, Elsa and the hilarious Olaf from Disney’s Frozen as they learn true love is the greatest power of all. Nothing is out of reach for Rapunzel as her friends help light the way. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs make their own magic, and Buzz and Woody will have you jumping out of your seat in a foot-stomping throwdown.

Mad Hatter’s Easter Eggstravaganza at Margam Park

Join the Mad Hatter for a family friendly tea party. Follow the mischievous Easter Bunny down the rabbit hole to enter the topsy turvy world of the Mad Hatter and his egg-stra special guests who will provide you with a fantasy filled afternoon overflowing with frantic fun, There will be games, entertainment and a delicious platter of treats. Adults £16.95, Children (under 11 years) £11.95. The ticket price includes an Orangery High Tea, character performance and entertainment.
Knight School at Oystermouth Castle
Saturday, April 27, 11am – 4.30pm
Step back in time at Oystermouth Castle and join re-enactment group Gwerin y Gŵyr (People of Gower) for some demonstrations of what life might have been like in mediaeval times at Oystermouth Castle. Try on different armoury, learn line commands and find out all about weaponry and defence of the age. The Heritage Metal Detectors Club will also be joining the line-up, showcasing recovered archaeological finds from around the region. Normal admission charges apply.
